The new CD is called Happier Than Ever. And the singer didn’t regret, including 16 tracks at once.
On the eve of the release, Billie Eilish revealed the premiere on her Instagram page:
“This is my most intense and profound experience I’ve ever had with my music…. I love each of the songs on this project so much that it literally scares me to think about releasing them into the world where everyone can listen to them. It makes me want to cry. I have grown so much in the process of making this album and have experienced so much self-actualization and self-reflection. I wish I could go back in time and re-record this album because those were some of the best days of my life.”
That said, there are almost no joyful songs on the album.
Billie Eilish worked on it in a Los Angeles studio with her brother Phineas, also a composer and poet, as well as a sound producer, arranger and guitarist. The audience of the Moscow concert could see him on stage – it was the older brother who played acoustic guitar in the most dramatic and lyrical songs of the sister.
