For the first time, the daughter of a millionaire and one of the most successful stars of alternative pop music released such a low-budget video. And she appeared in the video for Arcadia both without makeup and without makeup. It seems to be the first time, too. But there was a good reason for that.

This single is again a slow and beautiful, long and thoughtful composition, almost six minutes long. These are perhaps Lana Del Rey’s best. Melancholy, a lullaby, a confession… But the new song has a deep meaning – it’s about Lana’s love to America and her native state – California. That is why only she is in the frame, the view from her house, a trip in the car… The only unusual thing is the projection of the starry sky and cityscapes on her body.

However, such video content is quite enough to perceive the song. In fact, it is a home video that can be shot on a cell phone, even with minimal computer effects.

The video was directed by Lana Del Rey herself. It is expected that Arcadia, as well as earlier singles Wildflower Wildfire, Blue Banisters and Text Book, will be included into her new album, called Blue Banisters.

It is set for release on October 22.
